600

theres a reason why arod's chase to 600 has been the most underreported story over the last 5 years. when u admit to using steroids, u're forced to deal with the consequences. this is only the first of those consequences. people simply dont care about arod's accomplishments no more. he's an admited cheater and his accomplishments are tainted. People just dont care as much as they would have if he didnt cheat. for years, Arod was the hero baseball fans adored. the lone bright sport in a sport clouded with cheaters and phonies. when he admited to be the cheater and phony, well people simply lost interest in his accomplishments. Hey, he grew up in a world of cheating, he seems to be a product of his enviroment. But the public seems to be not so forgiving. keep in mind that his hall of fame chase will be a product of public opinion, and i thing he'll be waiting a long time to be enshrined into the league of the best, tho not as long as Bonds will be.

Tennis

over the last couple of weeks ive been trying a new thing to get in shape. TENNIS. Ive always had fun playing tennis on the xbox and its pretty fun. not to mention that I love table tennis. i figured it would be a great way to get into shape. Now i love it. i might not be no good at it (comes with time and pratice) but its fun and exciting. playing tennis opeans me up to trying some other sports that I would not have given a second thought to. can anyone say CRICKET?

ESPN to blame for FARVEMANIA

rumor spread like wildfire that brett farve informed the Vikings that he would indeed retire and not return for a final season. Coverage on ESPN went on for hours, and felt like days.... in fact, a day later coverage continues. now farve hasnt told the vikings anything. that he's still unsure. tell me why is this news? why is FARVEMANIA so blown out of proportion? Farve sneezes and its Breaking News. this has gotta stop. ESPN's newsroom style of reporting sports has lead to the "Breaking news" of sports. Now, ESPN is looking for the next big story. and of course, betting the farve horse is the Big story in a generally slow time of the year. Year after Year we gotta put up with the farve crap. this isnt news no more espn this has gotta stop!!!!

THE LITTLE LEGEND THAT COULD?

The Decision. The decision to abandon your mission just a mere seven years into the fight. The decision to shift teh balance of power from the west to the east, to the far south east in particular. The decision to become the most hated man in the history of sports. More hated than M. Ali, for far less important reasons. More hated than A-Rod for teh very same reasons. Yes, Lebron, The King of Cleveland is the king no more. Now he's one of the Three Kings. The traitor tht can never walk teh streets of Cleveland again, The streets that he's called his home for the better part of his entire life. Thats how the fans of Cleveland view the decision. Thats how most fans of basketball views teh decision.

But the shere reality is this. Lebron wants to win. He wants to be like jordan because quite frankly, thats the man the legend has been built around. "the next MJ" HE MADE THE MOVE HE HAD TO MAKE. the only way he was gonna win a championship. Lebron has avoided the legacies of Iverson, Barkley, and several others who will be remembered as being good but not "good enuff" James didnt want to go down as the championless champion. The Dam Marino of the NBA.

James was in a no win situation. he was forced to pick between 2 evils. Should he stay in cleveland? a move that would more than likely result in James never reaching the top of the mountain. Sure he would have had the respect of teh NBA world because he chose to stay with his team. to fight the good, but losing battle against the legacy of Micheal Jordan? He could never be compared to Jordan if he stayed in cleveland and never won a thing. He'd be he world's most talented Bust.

Or should he leave? to take advantage of an opprotunity tht comes around once a millinia? to join 2 of teh top 5 players and create a dynasty? to have the chance to win multiple championships over the next six years? but again with the legacy thing. now the nay-sayers would call lebron a quiter. would say that james took the easy way out. Jorden would never join forces with NBA's elite. he now can never be compared to jorden. he can never be as good as MJ.

It appears that James the higher of 2 evils. Burning his bridges with the city he calls home while losing the respect of the NBA Universe and dramatically changing the landscape of the NBA. All the meanwhile becomming the biggest villian in the history of sports. the guy that 29 other cities will boo over the course of the next year. the guy everybody will love to hate.

Its about more than legacies for James. Its about more than jorden vrs james, cavs vrs heat, the decision, or any of that stuff that ESPN promotes to get the fan's attention. to James its about one thing. Championships. James seen an opprotunity to not jus unite with his Team USA brothern and his best friends, but to Win a boatload of rings. and at the end of the day thats whats most important to James.

In fact it was so important to james that he was willing to risk being the villian, the end-all-be-all to the city of Cleveland. he was willing to risk his legacy and his reputation all for the sake of Winning. because at teh end of the day James is a competitor. He wants to win. and surrounding himself in the city of Miami, with All-Stars, and a deflated legacy, gives him the best chance. Just heed the warning Lebron. U've chosen your fate. U've brunt your bridges. U better bring home the hardware, because if you dont, than any legacy u had, either cleveland or miami, will be destroyed and u will be know as the player that couldnt.

Celtics at Lakers Game 7

One of the best series I've seen in basketball, fitting its the NBA Finals with Kobe vs the Big 4(featuring Rondo). Only the Celtics and the Bulls series 2 years ago tops this one. Anyway, im picking the Lakers to win this series. 104-97. The Perkins injury will cost the Celtics being as tho his presence will be missed defensively. Kobe gives his usual 30 but adds ring number 5 to his hand as well.

IM JUSS SAYING.....

i hate the Celtics and I hope they do lose (tho i honestly believe the lakers win at home)

NCAA Makeover

Traditionalist will tell you that the titanic shifts that is the NCAA's realignment is bad for the sport and could potentially ruin rivaleries. Thats only half true (riveralies ruined). But the new aged fan gets his way and the traditionalist cant get but too upset after the dust has cleared and settled. The Big 12 remains intact after rumors of its demise and the rise of the PAC 16!! (it sounded evil in my head with an evil lauf to compliment it) Nebraska heads over to the big 10 and Colorado heads west to the Pac 10. The Big 12 (with 10 teams) survives as Texas, Texas A&M, and Oklahoma all decided to remain in the conference. Utah also accepts its invite to the Pac 10 (now has 12 teams). the question now is bowl games. will the Big 12 lose its championship game? will the Pac 10 and Big 10 gain a chipper? will there be any name changes? a lot of questions that will soon have its answers.

IM JUSS SAYIN....

i personally woulda loved a super conference like the Pac 16, or the Big 10 getting Missouri as well. But I'm also happy with the results. Nebraska can create some new and interesting rivalries with Ohio state and Penn state. Utah can finally prove to the nation that it belongs in the ranks of the elite. There is a lot of pluses with the new alignment.

Albert wants OUT, Skins should cut him

So if u haven't heard by now Albert Hanyesworth wants out of Washington primarily because the redskins switch the defense from a 3-4 to a 4-3...or something like that. this, 1 year after he signed a 7 year 100 million dollar deal. ard lets be real here y'all. this guy is CRAZY!!! first off, you juss signed a 100 million dollar deal. is that not enough? the skins gave you that money because they felt that your skills and talents would dominate. let them worry about the defense and you worry about sacking quarterbacks. you get one year into your deal and you already want out? this is the most selfish act Ive seen from a player in a long time. second.. the mark of a good athlete is not the ability to dominate in one system, but have the ability to adjust and dominate in others as well. so what the skins switch their defense to a 4-3! THEY GAVE YOU A 100 MILLION! ADJUST! your talented enough to be dominant in that system rite? guess not. haynesworth is an overrated superstar who's exposing himself as such, not the dominant interior lineman everyone tho he was. hes afraid that his numbers will drop (like last year) and he will be labeled as a flop (which is will be). I say if your really good than just play the damn game.

finally, hes so afraid of being exposed for what he truly is (overrated) that he's willing to abandon the redskins, destroy team chemistry and even sacrifice that huge contract in order to get his way. I understand that your talents wont be maximized in the 4-3. but shouldn't that give you more incentive to go to camp, work hard and be the best in the 4-3? imagine a world if everyone acted like this guy. what if backups start saying "u guys cant maximize me in this defensive system so i want a trade." what if all starters had this mentality? it just destroy team chemistry.

i credit the redskins for publicly bashing haynesworth. there building a solid team and need your best players there practicing, not becoming the cancer that T.O. was for the eagles 6 years ago.

IM JUSS SAYIN.....
i don't want a guy who worries so much about defensive alignments that he's willing to ruin team chemistry to get his way. neither do I want a guy who seems to bask in selfishness. the skins are best to cut this guy and move on.
